Description

Wearable Technology

Taught by Tenaya Hurst

Make wearable tech at this very special #WearableWednesday.. Tenaya will bring kits for you to sew LEDs into a garment. Fabric will be provided, but feel free to bring your own t-shirt, accessory, stuffed animal, etc. This is a skill that takes some engineering, prototyping, and sewing. First time sewer? Great, jump right in because the LEDs can’t sew themselves! Tenaya brings expertise and great samples to this workshop which she offers all over the bay area throughout the year. Get into #RogueMaking and find true joy in creating something for yourself.

Make-HER workshops are open to girls aged 8 - 12 and their mothers (or other adult female mentors). Our #LadyMaker educators have designed content specifically for this age group. Therefore the workshops are not appropriate for those under age eight, please no younger siblings. You may cancel up to 48 hours in advance through this site. Those who do not show without cancellation will be prevented from registering for subsequent Make-HER workshops. Each workshop requires a separate registration. Each registration reserves spots for both you and your daughter.
